What makes you think you need to replace a sensor? Have autozone pull the code if you can't do it yourself. You may not have put the gas cap on properly or something stupid of that nature.
Second, why would you buy parts from a Pontiac dealer. Talk about getting *** raped...
Oh, maybe you meant that the dealer is going to install it for you. Either way, we don't pay anyone to do our installs on this site. At least the self-respecting LS1 owners don't.
Before I go I'd like to say WTF, and and about your post.

If it has anything to do with EVAP then you're setting a P044X.
P0440 is a big leak - check your gas cap. Sometimes they don't get sealed.
P0442 is a small leak - check your EVAP tubes and make sure they are all connected.
If your 02 sensor is bad you'll get a code something like, P0134, P0154, P0137, P0157, P0138, P0158. Something in that neighborhood.

Do you still have your warranty. If so have the dealer fix it for free. I think emission stuff is gaurantied for 100,000 miles anyways. I know it's more than the regular warranty.
