scooter my daisy head?

Autozone will scan your car for free, see what's setting the light and go from there.

What makes you think you need to replace a sensor? Have autozone pull the code if you can't do it yourself. You may not have put the gas cap on properly or something stupid of that nature.

Second, why would you buy parts from a Pontiac dealer. Talk about getting *** raped...
Oh, maybe you meant that the dealer is going to install it for you. Either way, we don't pay anyone to do our installs on this site. At least the self-respecting LS1 owners don't.

Before I go I'd like to say WTF, and and about your post.

I was going to say that, but I didn't want to be too harsh.

Do you mean an O2 sensor? What was the exact code? What mods are on the car?

Okay, as NightHawk asked - did you get the code from them? It should be in this format PXXXX (X's being digits). This would be a start since there is no such thing as an "emissions sensor".

If it has anything to do with EVAP then you're setting a P044X.

P0440 is a big leak - check your gas cap. Sometimes they don't get sealed.

P0442 is a small leak - check your EVAP tubes and make sure they are all connected.

If your 02 sensor is bad you'll get a code something like, P0134, P0154, P0137, P0157, P0138, P0158. Something in that neighborhood.

Do you still have your warranty. If so have the dealer fix it for free. I think emission stuff is gaurantied for 100,000 miles anyways. I know it's more than the regular warranty.

80,000 on certain parts. Check your warranty manual. It will tell you which parts are covered. AND, This warranty is transferable (automatically).

Actually, the quote goes as follows: "Check out the big brain on Brad. You're a smart muthaf*cka, that's right. The metric system."
