Yes, I am getting only 200 miles off a full tank and this is while driving granny style, shifting at 2,000 rpm. A friend of mine says he gets 240 off a full tank and he has an auto, and another friend claims he gets 300 miles off his 6 speed. Why am I getting such crappy mpg?
Car has 26,000 original miles, and previous owner said he installed flowmasters.

I get 300-350 if I drive strait highway, but if I drive all my miles around town I only get 200-250. That really depends on what the temperature is outside and how long I let it warm up before I start driving. I DD my car year round in Pittsburgh PA, so some mornings it will idle for 15 min before I actually start going down the road.

The main thing is you don't want to get on it when its not up to temp.
I just start mine up and go and by the time I make it to the highway where I may want to open it up, its already warm and I didn't waste a drop of gas letting it sit
I get about 350miles, but that's quite a bit of highway.
to the op, how low do you let your tank get before refilling? That can make a big difference. I let mine go till the light comes on or when I'm brave I'll let the line touch the red, then I fill it up all over again

All city driving With 1-2 quick wot pulls a day 3.73's and 3800 stall I average about 200 miles from a full tank to when the check guages light comes on which = about 13.5 gallons used. So 200mi/13.5ga= 15mpg avg. in town for me...

Thats odd that you have such low miles and getting that much miles. Try changing the plugs and wires maybe? I usually avg around 250-300 a tank of gas, mixed city and highway but probably 85% is city driving. I also get on it from time to time. If driving the ***** off it all the time I still avg over 200miles to the tank, and thats ALWAYS. I could fill it and go to the track and do 140-150 coming back home on the highway and ill still get a good 200-250miles.. Sometimes wrong there

Check the pump for how many gallons you put in the 2nd time. Check the miles on the trip since the first fill up. say you came out to 312miles and you put in 12.621 gallons. 312miles/14.621gallons=21.33mpg

i get about 19 mpg. that's about 285 miles per tank if you run it all the way to empty. i never let it go below a 1/4 tank though.
that's driving 80% city, accelerating semi-quickly all the time, short WOT pulls here and there, and in an auto

you really don't have to let it sit to warm up. I used to do it too.
