Correct fuel pressure reading?
Yesterday I did a test on the fuel pressure and got a reading of 22. Now I just need to know what the correct pressure is for a 1995 Trans AM.
The problem is the car will turn just fine but won't start usually. If I wait a few days I might be able to get it to start but as soon as I let off the gas it dies.
I've checked the codes. No issues there.

Lt1=43psi You are definetely below specs. Most likely the fuel pump is the culprit.Would not hurt to replace the fuel filter also.

Drop the tank (and rear possibly) and take it out that way.
or Cut a hole in the back deck.
I did the back deck thing on a old 94 LT1 car which I didnt care about hacking. I do not know your level of exp but if your really not sure, take it somewhere. Your dealing with gasoline fumes and tight clearances between the deck and fuel tank.
Go look at a racetronix 255LPH pump.

I won't attempt the pump.
I did run into a problem with the filter though. The gasoline wouldn't stop running out. It kept coming like it was being syphoned out. A friend that was helping said he thought we needed to get the car up on all fours. We had only jacked up the back by the fuel tank to get to the filter.
Is jacking up all fours really needed? Or am I just missing doing something that would have stopped the fuel from coming?
