Thanks.

it varys, flywheel hp and brake hp can be anywhere from around 10%-20%, depending of the loss in the drivetrain. Some tranny's lose more then others.

But remember dynos vary too. You can dyno the same day at 2 dynos and can get a difference of +-20 hp.

fwhp and bhp is the same thing. fwhp/bhp is 15%-20% more than rwhp depending on manual/auto gear and convertor.....

For some reason I thought BHP was horsepower measured without the accessories on the front of the motor, and crank HP was measured with the accessories on it.

Maybe I am missing up gross and net flywheel HP....Jesus, we need to pick a standard and stick to it LOL

Yeah, you're thinking of gross vs. net.

BHP is just the euro way of saying it.

Wow, that adds up to a HUGE vairation!

Plus, I hear there are different types of dyno, and they can vairy

So what kind of BHP is a stock A4 LS1 ws6 kicking out?

Jesus, we need to pick a standard and stick to it LOL

Personally, I think 1/4 mile times, or 0-100mph, 0-60mhp times are best when compairing two different cars...

most of the ls1s were rated at 305-310hp at the flywheel from the factory.

but when those same cars were dynoing 290-310 at the WHEELS (after the 10-20% loss) it became apparent that GM underated them.

basically it works out to the engines were making about 330-340 at the flywheel. but they didn't want to upset the vette owners who were paying more for the "better" engine

Me's so slow...so hp and bhp are the same thing

Most stock A4s dyno around 300. With a 15 to 20% loss that's prolly 345-360 BHP.
