Either will work fine, sometimes I use 10w30 in the summer as it gets close to 100* here. Using non synthetic will not hurt, no.

I'm a big fan of Castrol oils.

You could use either, but I recommend using a full synthetic. I used to use German Castrol 0w30 which was perfectly fine, but I am now giving the new Pennzoil Ultra a go, 5w30. So far so good but it's only been in the car for 250 miles. Mobil 1 is always a favorite as well. It's really up to you what you pick, all will probably work about the same.

As long as its 5w30 or 0w30 or 5w40....most people use 5w30 because thats what chevy recommends.

Will never know....use Amsoil/SynPowerŽ Full Synthetic or Max Life Blend Motor Oil 5w-30 and Zmax.

Here is a great information regarding oils...
http://www.upmpg.com/tech_articles/motoroil_viscosity/

From a small section of the report:
"I can't tell you how many times I have heard someone, usually an auto mechanic, say that they wouldn't use a 5W-30 motor oil because it is, "Too thin." Then they may use a 10W-30 or SAE 30 motor oil. At engine operating temperatures these oils are the same. The only time the 5W-30 oil is "thin" is at cold start up conditions where you need it to be "thin."

20-50? What is that like a diesel truck oil? I dont think anything would have gotten too harmed, my friend is running a diesel oil (i forget what weight) in his freshly built motor camaro... it was actually recomended to him from a professional shop.

I have a friend who used to work at a Toyota dealership. One day the oil guys came and filled up their motor oil tank with transmission fluid. They didnt realize it until the end of the day after doing 50+ cars. Needless to say they had to call all of the customers to come back and re-change their "oil." But apparently it didnt hurt the motors to have Tranny fluid in them for a few miles. Sounds crazy, I know. I would be super pissed if one of them was my car
