Default P&P'd LS1 TB & LS6 Intake

I was just wondering if this would be a good route to take for the time being...I'm looking for a few extra rwhp and I'm purchasing an LS6 intake and was looking at a ported and polished LS1 intake as well.

Is this a good combo? I'm going to a FAST 102 setup down the road, but I have obligations to fulfill with the US Army that kinda takes up all my time. What kind of gains should I expect with this setup? I have a friend with a cammed 03 GT that's been talking trash and I need to shut him up.

Probably 15RWHP with the throttle body and the LS6 intake.

You can probably beat the cammed GT how your car sits. My buddy had a full exhaust, intake, tune, 100 shot and still only ran 12.9 @ 107 on a tire.

I figured I could already beat him. Last I heard he dyno'd 290rwhp, but that was before long tubes...

I'd just like to add some insult to injury if you know what I mean.

PERSONALLY, i dont think the p&p tb's are ever worth it, but if you watn every last pony, go for it. id rather take that ~$50 and throw another $50 and get a lid, youll see more power gains. the LS6 manifold is a great choice and contrary to popular belief, a FAST isnt needed unless you are going for BIG hp (450+) with a BIG cam and BIG flowing heads.

i had a buddy that had an 04 GT, heads/cam, bassani ORX, slp LM2, dyno tune, 3.73's, K&N filter, 315's, and he dyno'd like 250-260 on a mustang dyno and I pulled him every time with an intake and a catback, but my car came with the LS6 intake..

Yes a LS-6 intake and a P&P TB will make about 15hp but i would do the free ram air also and i would also say the Fast intake is not worth the money unless your building a big hp motor.
