What is the normal oil pressure suppose to sit at on a warm engine and during driving? I think mine might be a little on the high side but then again I'm fairly new to the LS based cars.

The factory gauges are not always right.My 02 SS a4 is always reading high but i guess that is a good think if its right.

A "normal" at-idle reading can be anything from 25-50psi, depending on a varitey of factors. The factory OP gage isn't the most accurate, either.

Okay because mine at idle sits around 45-55 and climbs up to 65-70 during driving.

Mine's the same. At cold idle it will be over 50...driving 65-70 WOT I *think* a lil over 70....this is a 99 WS6 with german castrol for lubrication.

Mine sits at 40-50 idle / normal driving (after 30 mins of driving). If I go and do a little WOT stoplight racing it will idle about 25-30 and drive around 40.

Mine sits around 40-50 at idle as well. Climbs up towards 60-65 WOT.

Sorry for adding to this old thread but I'm unsure how you's are seeing your oil pressure in "psi"? See, my guage the in Firehawk doesn't say "psi"~! It has really high numbers on it like 240 or something? So where on the guage is normal? Mine is half at idle and three quarters or so under load. That normal?

Yes your reading is normal.

In Canada the gauges are metric your reading is in kilapascals.

The reading in the middle would equal 40 psi.

I have a TA imported from the US so its all Standard measure.

Mine is somewhere between 20-40 at idle and around 50 for normal driving, possibly 45.
