Need some advice on the new camaro I bought
Alright so there a few things wrong with it as far as leaking ac compressor, cracked radiator, motor and tranny mounts and rear end (bearings I think) but anywho after all that is taken care of...
Realistically id like to have 450 or more to the wheels as a daily driver.. if you guys have had experience in this please let me know, normally how much does it cost to get the LS1 to that because on my ex-LT1 it was a pain in the *** and very expensive...
its a 98 Z28 (auto)
Thanks for your time

Good heads and cam setup can get you there or close...I reccomend used parts...As far as cost goes I would have no clue, all depends on what parts you choose.
Good guesstimate...Probably a $1500 for bolt ons/ intake(maybe more maybe less).
Another $1500-2000 for the heads and cam(again price depends on brand, etc, or whether you buy them used or new).
$400-500 bucks for the tune after.
$1500-2000 for the 12 bolt you'll need after you bust your crappy GM 10 bolt
If you do your own work you'll save alot of coin.
Not a cheap hobby no matter what engine you mod.

I just did a head/cam setup with 33lb injectors and a "new" (new to me) fuel rail and did it all for 1300 bucks. Still haven't gotten the tune but other cars with this setup put down 415-430 to the wheels. I bought a comp cam (232/234 .595/.598 112) comp springs and a set of used 243 heads, and got the injectors and rail for 50 bucks because some guy wanted to upgrade and didn't care about them anymore haha. There are good deals out there you just have to look for them.

Real easy, after all the fix of broken parts, go with small yank converter 3200, LS6 cam, atleast yellow springs or 918s/ 243 heads and procharger D1SC. Or go with a bigger cam, valvetrain mods, 243 heads ported and bigger stall. Of course bolt ons mods are included.
Or bolt ons and slap on some nitrous.
