welp, if he has a stall converter hes an auto..
anyways, i think 3.73s are what most auto guys run.. does your car hook up from a slow roll or a stop? if not i would get tires first.
suspension mods that will help you hook up:
-torque arm
-lower control arms
suspension that will help you handle:
-shocks/springs
-sway bars
as far as more power.. go with a nitrous kit

Upgrade your fuel pump... Change your fuel filter while your doing that it's just smart to. Ls6 plenum port tb, use a 100 shot of n2o, and call it a day. 150 shot on stock trans is possible but If you want your tranny to last don't spray threw shifts and keep it above 3000 Rpms wot and you will be fine! Some people have good luck spraying with stock trans others... Not so much

Don't waste your time trying to work a set of 853's.
Also, get rid of that LS1 intake and get an LS6 intake.
If your 4L60E is stock? Do you really think throwing a 150 shot at it is smart?
Yeah people get away with it pretty often, but just try to be smart about the route you take.
Do a little more research around the site, it will really help you in the longrun.

hmm, does your stall seem to flash ok?
for reference I'm running 7.8-7.9@88mph with a 1.79 60ft spinning in a car that should be at minimum 200lbs heavier than you...and I consider my times slow for a cammed/stalled ls1...I think I should be trapping at least 90
unless you have a really tiny cam and the ls1 intake is holding you back, I would get a ls6 intake and a ported tb on it quick, should get you 15-20rwhp
