new SS owner, good deal? couple questions..
so i just bought a 2002 SS camaro with 31,xxx miles for $12,000. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. it just had slp loudmouth and c5 z06 replicas with nittos. but, theres a decent sized scratch on the rear left quarterpanel, passenger seat doesnt move forward or back, broken, notorious dying window motors, consistant fuse blowing for the reverse safety lock, exhaust rattles really loud on crossmember (missing exhaust hanger?). just wondering what you think about it. also what size rim is SAFE for 315s? and also ive heard that texas speed headers/y-pipe dont line up with SLP LM :/

Seems like you got a pretty decent deal. any pics??? As for the rim size I would think a 17*9 would be the smallest I would go. Nittos are one of the smaller 315 tires when compared to others. 17*11 would be better. I can tell you first hand I used to have pacesetter headers and their catted ypipe along with an SLP LM and it lined up perfectly. I installed it on my back in my garage. Be careful when you get headers with this catback, its gets really raspy you may want to go TD's or something to keep rasp down.
Post some pics?? I'd like to see your new ride!!!!

haha yea i agree it looks so plain. i ordered the black ss emblems with the red outlines 2 weeks ago and im waiting for them to come in. around 70$ for 3 SS emblems and 1 bowtie. i decided im going to leave the emblems off of the back, it looks cleaner to me.

Nice ride dude. Not a bad deal, i got a similar deal on mine i paid 12.5 for my 2000 SS. It had 43 k miles but it was clean and had 0 issues. Now at 56k still no issues besides two alternator failures. But i dont pay but 100 detuctable being i got bumper to bumper warranty in the car deal at the dealer i work at. Good deal bud!!! Like the chrome wheels.

Oh and about the wheel for the 315s, i had zr1 replica's on my 95 z28 they were 17x11 with 315/35r17 The only thing was i did not roll the fenders and occasianally if anyone 100 lbs or more was in the back seat the tires would hit pretty bad.
