Default tranny or rear end vibration?

So i pull out of work this morning and hammer down on the ta and when i shifted into 2nd gear at about 5000 and was in 2nd gear getting into throtle i felt a bad vibration or knock right under my right arm. (assuming this is the transmission). It also felt like my tires were hoping or some thing in the rear end was moving cant really explain.

This same thing happen in 3rd gear at a second go around. cant remember if it also happen in 2nd gear prior to shifting into 3rd. i think i was a little easier on 2nd the second go around and slam into 3rd.

the third go around when i hammer on it (not as hard) and shifted alittle slower. no kocking or vibration

When i drive car normal and shift between to 2500 to 3000 car drives great. goes into gear find and every thing seems to operate smooth.

Please guys not sure if im doing some thing wrong or if tranny can hold up or rear end cant. i know rear ends are weak at a dead stop kinda why i always try to start on a roll.

This is the first car i have ever own that had some real power. car is 98 ws6 6 speed hurst shifter and a tune. car is in sig

any tips or advice would be greatly aprechated to what you guys may think is going on.

Check the transmission and torque arm mounts.

^agree with above. I had similar things happen to me in the past and it was the transmission mount. On my current ride the mount was torn in half haha.

Sounds like your transmission mount. Same thing happened to me on my 95 Z, and now on my 01 SS (just a couple of days ago).

Another vote for transmission mount. My LT1 did the same thing.

Just normal wear and tear. You might not need to get a new transmission mount. I could be possible that the bolt keeps backing out. In that case, just lock tite that ****...

I had the same type of problem and it turned out that my driveshaft had thrown a weight and came out of balance. Not saying that is your problem but just another thing to check if your mounts still look good.

definitely the tranny mount, just finished a motor swap and forgot to bolt down the tranny to the cross member, so the first time i drove it it was doin the exact same thing. should be an m12x1.75 nut.

I doubt it's the driveshaft. It would buzz and vibrate like crazy....
