Default New Cam!!

Just put a 230/236 600 lift 114 LSA in my 2000 camaro and im not gonna be able to get a tune till i can save up the money(just spent 3000 on a LS1,cam,headers,springs,lifters) So i just wanna make sure its not messing anything up driving to and from work with open headers and no tune?

well your gas mileage will suck until you get exhaust and a tune...

Yea ive noticed that. Im about to order a y pipe online and take it to the local exhaust shop and get it hooked up to my SLP. Is Flowmaster my best bet to order the y pipe from??

So if i didnt order a y pipe online and went in to the muffler shop about how much would you suspect i would be charged to get my headers hooked up to my slp exhaust???

you could get a magnaflow merge pipe for $27 and then take that to the muffler shop.

Not the greatest idea running with that large of a cam with out a tune. I would not take it over 2000 rpms and would drive it as little as possible with out the tune in it. You may want to look into a mail order tune from FROST until you have the money for a real tune.

Thats what i figured cause its deff running a little lean so im just taking it easy just need to get to work everyday!! My buddys buying his own tuning software so hopefully by the end of this week i can have it tuned the way i want.

Street tune then cool. Does you friend have tuning experience? Any plans to run at the track?

Either get a Flowmaster Merge, Vibrant merge, or Magnaflow merge take it to the muffler shop and have them make you a y-pipe and hook it to your slp exhaust, or order an ORY from TSP.

Get Frost to get you a tune, or you can see if your buddy can do it, but I'd like to know if he has any type of experience using the software he is ordering or any experience at all in tuning cars....
