Chips
Ok honestly.. Do these do anything at all? People keep telling me I need to chip my car ex. Hypertech. Im like no they are a waste of money and it actually starts arguments.
Someone told me there are chips that gain 200 horse.. Im calling BULLSH*T on that.
Are there any worth while or are they all POS?

Lots of them taste good, but I'd limit consumption since they can make you fat. I really like Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper myself....definitely worth it IMO.

No if you get lid maf bellow with stock tb and intake with lt headers and true duals. If you get it tuned you can get 60-70hp thats if a pro does it. Thats after your hp add with the parts. If i was you i would get a tuner for delete's like air! Etc etc not dor the 20 hp it can add.
Smart *** i was thinking about doing that. Lmfao

I am with ksstamp09 there is no "chip" , a chip would be a removable storage inside the pcm that can be swapped , I bought a chip or 2 back in the 80's....
your car has a pcm ( powertrain control module) or ecm ( engine control module) those would be the relevant terms when talking about changing your tune. This unit can be reflashed with a new set of parameters using a tuning software suite such as hp tuners or efi life which allow changes at your will or your tuners will to a lot of the tables in your pcm/ecm.
there are also handhelds which generally offer less customization of yuor tune.
so all the wise guys are right that the only chip that could be in your car would be between the crack in your seat

Usually where people will see that kind of HP increase are in Diesels, not in gas engines, OUR cars are better off getting a real tune then an off the shelf tune it will help more and you can easily get stuff tuned out like EGR and AIR
