Not sure I understand your question. Do you mean 'Which one would you use for a 'max effort' setup', 'Describe a max effort setup for each of the mentioned blocks', or 'What is the definition of "max effort"?

When you hear someone talking about a "Max effort" that means they are going to push it to its limits and go right on the fine line of max power and popping it.
Basically race car stuff only.

oh ok, typically, what type of parts would be used in one of these Max effort builds? Are they fully forged, head, cam, Or OEM parts? all motor or can they be turbo charged, etc?

I came across the term while I was searching around when I was wanting to do a long rod 4.8 with big pistons and turbo just to play around and see if I could spin it 8500rpms or more on Stock internals, if it blows it blows. I searched max effort and couldn't really find any info on it so I decided to ask, I was curious if my 4.8 idea would be considered a "Max effort" build.

for turbo, i would recommend a bored LS3, blueprinted crank, dished pistons, ARP conn rods, and high flow heads / turbo grind cam [longer exhaust lift], twin T60s, and a drivetrain to hold hell from breaking out

Long rod, big piston, stock parts, spinning to 8500???? You are getting a little ahead of yourself there. Better do some more research.
