A turbo, set it on your coffee table and think about how badass it would be if it were on your car.

Since you have a 2001 ls1 it already has a ls6 intake manifold. I would get a lid and full exhaust.

change to a poly trans mount from advance auto parts. $30 mod an it ELIMINATED my wheel hop. i deleted my egr, cats, air pump, an rear o2's. added a slp maf, lid, an smooth bellow. installed some cheap steal headers with 2.5 inch over the axel exhaust with flowmaster 40 series. installed monster stage 2 clutch with light weight flywheel. had it tuned at heintz racing in morrseville NC an it made 349 hp an 366 ftq at 6800rpms. mine is a 99 with the ls1 intake so i could have made another 10-15 whp with the ls6 intake.
untuned one the dyno with these mods it made 332hp. i dont remember the torque.

is it a auto or 6 speed? if its an auto then a 4000 stall with wake it up a ton.

Build your car from the back to the front.... you will thank me later...

Lid, headers, ORY and cutout. Then get a convertor next.

Yeah OP it's up to what you want more of first? If you want sound and some performance then headers, ORY,LID, but if you want a good amount of performance fast then stall and tune but it's up to you also like anticop said building from the back up is the smartest.. So it's up to you
