Default 6.0 with 5.3 heads - What all needs to change?

I got my hands on a early 6.0 out of a 3/4 ton Chevy and it has the iron heads, I have a 5.3 with a bad cam among other issues and would like to swap the 5.3 heads on the 6.0 and have a few questions.

What will the compression be before and after the head swap?

Do I use the 5.3 or 6.0 rockers?

5.3 or 6.0 pushrods?

I am putting this engine in a 67 Chevelle with a 4L60E behind it and would welcome all advice.

Anything else to look out for with the head swap?

what are the head casting numbers for both heads ?about 8cc is worth 1 compression point .how many miles on both motors ?with high miles consider new lifters, timing chain ,and a new oil pump.

I don't have the numbers, I was thinking they were all the same CC for the 5.3 and the same for the 6.0 - What rockers & pushrods are used with this swap?

are the 5.3 heads iron ?I 'm thinking not . my bad ,I should have asked the combustion chamber size of both heads .you need to give us alot of numbers to figure stuff out .use the stock GM rocker and push rods you have .use the rocker with the lowest miles ,or the ones that feel tighter .if you swap heads what head gaskets will you use ?if you do raise you compression ,you mite need a retune to proper set up the knock sensors for best timing.

5.3 heads are aluminum. If I get the numbers from the 5.3 heads can you tell me what the CR will be with them on the 6.0?

if they are 799s (ALA LS6/LS2 castings) youre good to go. if 862s use the valves out of the iron heads and have the intake throats opened up to the same size as the iron heads.

either way will net profitable hp
