Some more information would help.

What is it going in? NA, FI, or NOS?

Street, strip or track?

What cam, headers?

The more information you provide the better the suggestions are.

I friend on mine went with some MAST heads that were right around 3 grand. Supossidly they were some of the very best you can get. Of course you will need the best cam and intake as well to optimize the heads

Yep I agree, and i'm happy with the power of my old PRC 5.3 heads as well. Instead of upgrading my heads when I have the money i'll just buy a 9" rear, and bump up my nitrous lol

I would question if you are going to make full use of that much head just running a stock bottom end. AFR, Trickflow among other are a great head for about half the price which you could use to put to an intake.
