Default Car seems to have less *****....

Checked for a vacuum leak with some carb spray so I think I can rule that out, this happened around the time I changed my oil and I used Royal Purple 5w-30 the car previously had 10w-30. My friends said its a possiblity of the clutch going but its not slipping hard just higher rpms and not having the power it did a week or so ago when I step on it. It had a oil leak when I got which we believe is the rear main seal. Before I go and spend $1300 on putting in new clutch, flywheel, slave, etc what are my other possible faults causing this? My thoughts injectors?maybe ignition? This is my first manual car and I'm on a budget for the time being....the Navy doesn't always pay well LOL.

if your rear main is leaking some oil.it can get on to your clutch disk and make slippage

how many miles on the motor ?the slippery clutch sound most likely .a ignition problem would show a code .throw some concentrated injector cleaner in the tank,to clean out the injectors .maybe the cats are clogged .

Got a quote for $1250, clutch, flywheel, slave, & rear main seal. By CCCMotorsports nearby San Diego. I'm going LS7 set up, not doing anything crazy til maybe next year just general maintenance and some bolt ons.

Have you changed the spark plugs? Maybe worth a try.
