Default Where to get a p/p throttle body with bump stop mod?

I have a 2000 ss with slp ram air, lid, smooth bellows, and slp loud mouth 2. I was thinking a p/p throttle body with bump stop mod might free up maybe another 5hp. I was wondering where I could get one or send mine out to be done?

I was on the Shaner site the other day. Seems they aren't doing them at the moment. I sent an email inquiry as to when they might restart production. New reply from them yet.

Look on Ebay for the POTZ ported and polished throttle body. Just search "Throttle Body LS1". It always comes up. POTZ is also on Facebook. I bought an Ebay PP throttle body years ago from Jantzer and it was a piece of art, nicely done. I've also seen these POTZ TB's get good comments. Can't beat the price. Make sure you order the correct one, they sell the truck ones too

Is there anyone on the form that does it? I see potz does the ported maf also, is that worth it or will it possible mess the maf up?

porting the maff is a sticky subject...depends what side of the fence your on so to speak. local shop told me that they dont recommend it, again its your build so do the research and see the pros and cons and you should be able to decide. good luck!

Does anyone know how well their (potz) darker metallic blue color matches to the actual navy blue metallic color? Is it extremely similar or a poor attempt at matching it? ebay only shows their electric blue.

Personally I'd choose a black, they also have a matte finish black one. Forget about porting the stock MAF, just purchase a SLP 85mm MAF. there have been a few people that have had issues with it, but I have not and I've ran it for years now. I also descreened it and installed a bigger photomesh, see pic. I've had car tuned and have had no problems being tuned or with tune.

Keep in mind that there are some higher horse power LS1's with stock MAF, stock screen and paper air filter, people make their horse power in different ways without changing everything.

No they have them in stock but require you pay the refundable fee prior to them shipping finished product, and they give you 30 days to mail in core.

Wow I must say for $82.00 it was well worth it! I just tap the gas and puts me right back in my seat. Such an easy mod and cheap.
