2000 Trans am knock noise
Well I just picked it up has 165 k but runs good has good oil pressure I drove it home 200 miles no problem I changed the oil with 10w 30 mobile 1 extended performance. But it has a slight knock noises it doesn't get louder but you can hear it get faster idk what it is.

The aluminum block is noisier than my old iron 350s.
Got more so after cam, more valvetrain "intensity".
If you're lucky it's just natural.
But rockers lose needle bearings, and stuff like that,
so you might have a look at what comes out in the
next oil change. Or, if you're ambitious and at all
mechanically inclined, pull the valve covers and have
a look for any rockers that seem sloppy (relative to
the rest; they may still be tightly held).

Agree with Jimmyblue, I would pull the valve covers and take a look. Can you post a video of the noise? Is it more of a ticking? Or is it a deeper knock? does it sound like it comes from the top of the motor?
These engines sound like a sewing machine sometimes, but there is usually nothing seriously wrong.
