Default whats major difference '99 TA and '99 TA (WS6)

I have a mostly stock '99 M6 black Trans Am (hurst shifter and hooker exhaust with cutout). I know the ws6 offers an upgrade on exhaust but i have that covered with the hooker set up. I recently bought the ram air hood and was wondering what the other major differences were. I'm waiting on 18" chrome y2k chrome wheels so i have the upgrade from 16"-17" wheels covered. I read somewhere that the air box is about an inch higher in the ws6, is that the only other difference? Also, I think that there is an upgrade in suspension for the ws6, but then someone told me that was only b/c the ws6 had 17" wheels, who is right. Any other differences?

if you look further into the WS6 code it is actually a suspension package. the hood and exhaust came later. it is an obvious difference too. my car even looks lower than my friends 2000 t/a. oh and everything said above is true. but the best part about it is the fact that i took of my WS6 badges and side molding and now i have people saying "man nice car ... but you have gotten the WS6." idiots all of them.

Not sure about this one 100% but the WS6 comes with a stronger rear end cover and the aluminum driveshaft as well, someone correct me if this option is across the board to all LS1's or just the WS6 option.

The aluminum driveshaft is not unique to the WS6. I dont know about the stronger rear-end cover.

the rearend cover is the same as comes on any other crappy 10 bolt... no diff

the aluminum driveshaft is part of the Performance axle option (available on cars other than WS6, but the WS6 package automatically adds this) ... 2.73 cars have a steel DS, 3.23 have an aluminum... i'm not sure about 3.42 cars (M6)

I'f you plan on modding the car the main difference is the apperance of the hood. The suspension is marginally better but most people probably change the spinrgs and shocks anyway.

And the hood provides just a lil more power.

so it looks like i've made all the important changes to a ws6 and improved on certain aspects (wheels and exhaust).
