Is there a trick to getting MAF into SLP AirLid?
I'm not a weak guy, and every part of my body hurts trying to get this sucker in. I've tried a hair blower, everything, it will just NOT go IN. I need the car for work tomorrow. Whoops. lol

It like slides left right left right... if I get it in perfectly flush it stops about 1.5mm which gives no leverage because once I think I have it and apply force, out it slide to the left or right. :/

Yeah, so I've been trying to get the SLP seal in for an hour and a half now. It's warped from abuse, I've tried tons of lube. Can I just seal this hole with duct tape? I'm so pissed off I can't even see straight.
EDIT: Everything is in. I did not expect it to be that stubborn. Strangely the parts other people said were hard were easy, and the grommet thing was the hardest part of the entire ordeal. lol

Hmm... It's a little stubborn to get on, but I just took my time and heated it really good with a hair dryer and it slid right on with little force. Now getting it back off when I sold it was a different story lol.
Either way, glad you finally got it on.

I tried to put mine in for 45 min with a hairdryer, sanding, ect. Took it in the house, boiled a pot of water, put the neck of the airlid in for 10 seconds, pulled it out and dried it off quickly and it slid right in easily. Probably will never get it off if i wanted to, but thats fine.

You are not alone. Those things can be a PITA. In my situation I have a tougher time separating the two rather than putting them together...

The hair dryer or boiling water trick will usually get the job done. Some are a tighter fit than others, the one I bought for my '02 was like that.
