check out speedinc's site... they got the kits and the trans's. Then call them for a labor estimate and get yourself a rough idea.

In my younger years i had a CudA with a 440 and 727 auto trans. i bought a CHEETAH valve body and it became a 3 speed without a clutch! it was quite the set-up, i loved it and shifting was instantaneous. best of both worlds. u might want to look into the possability? ran me about $300 for the valve body and i installed it myself. those were the days when it was easy to do the work yourself.

I can see if you had a car where there was a big difference in performance between the manual and automatic transmission..but wit the firebirds, and camaros...they are nearly the same...so y would you want to change..unless you just really wanted to drive a stick..I personally like my automatic there is times when I wish i had a manual though..like when people tell me..i have a girls car cuz its automatic...then you just say...yeh ok...if a girls car..has 305 hp stock at the fly....then yeh your damn right i drive a girls car.

Actually it has about 340 hp at the flywheel. You are putting around 290 to the tires.

I did mine myself and if you go the route like i did....(everything new) its gonna cost somewhere between 3-4k. The tranny alone was 2400. Clutch was another 500, pedals, MC, Slave C, switches, tuning, misc stuff.....its not that cheap. You can get used "kits" from some salvage yards for like 1500 or so. But labor is generally around 1k for most places. So i did it myself. Looks factory

How does it perform? No problems at all after the Manual transmission was installed?

I only saw a T56 to a TH400 conversion kit. Not an A4 to a M6.

cheapest way to do it is to find someone else who wants to go m6 -> a4. pull the cars side by side, and start swapping components. that way you'll have everything you need right at your fingertips, and you'll know what it should look like, cuz you took it off to begin with. only problem is pcm's.....i think you also need to get a new pcm due to torque management and issues like that.
