That's the cam I'm goin' for in a few months. Hopefully I see some nice gains with it and other mods combined.

Will I need to get it tuned after it's installed? Or should it be good to go "as is"?

From what i understand if you have any plans to put on headers or any other major power adder i would wait till its all done then tune. But if not then yes you should still get a tune...? though you may want to check with someone else who has more experience with this b/c im really new in the LS1 community...just my $.02

I believe jaberwaki's wife has a 224 in her 2002 TA. It put down 396 I believe to the rear wheels. May give him a try.

I don't mean to hijack the thread or anything but I've been lookin for a place in Northern VA that does cam installs and what not, because I'm lookin to get a cam real soon as well (as a matter of fact the TR224). All I can come up with is the Woodbridge Dynotech that said they'd charge like 1500 for everything..... uhhh I don't have that kind of money. Anyone else know of anything?

I'm about 3.5 miles from the Vienna Metro (in Oakton) and I'll be looking out for your SOM SS. I'm surprised I haven't seen it already- those things really stand out.

I've had a couple of dynos done down there (he moved south to Garrisonville) and I've never seen any LS1 powered vehicles down there- just C4s and Mustangs (and some vintage stuff).

While we're on the subject of places in VA to get work done... which would you all recommend to diagnose the following problem: when I shift into second at higher engine RPM's, it grinds like the clutch isn't even engaged... sometimes it does it and sometimes not but I can't afford to let this keep happening the way it is grinding... who should I trust around here to help fix this/possibly install new shift compenents or a clutch? I'm really at a loss for someone to depend on around here. My guy that I trusted just packed up and moved off

You could try the Midas in Annandale. My son Danny works there and does all the work on our 2000 Firebird Formula. The manager Kenny drives a '98 Camaro and also has modded out his car.

I'd be up for that! I know there is an F-body club that meets at Hooters in Fairfax... But i think the later friday evening the better due to traffic around 8 or 9pm...Let's see what we can plan!
