I had the same problem in my 02 Z28. All I did was tape the door panel and it would roll back up it might not be that easy for you but you might try it.

I had a similar problem, and I fixed it. Maybe yours is the same.

My window would go about half way up then stop. Then I'd wait about 10 minutes and it would go up a bit further, then I'd wait, then it would go up further, ....etc. It got so bad it wouldn't move at all. The power windows have a load sensitive switch, so when they get old, and the slides get sticky and the motor often clicks off. I replaced the motor and it has been working great for about 4 months. Get the Siemens made one from Autozone for 50 bucks. Also, there is an online guide that makes this tons easier to do by some guy with and LT1 car (same window motor, can't remember the link). Hope that helps.

Yeah, it's a cheap fix. Just replace both motors while you at it, that way you won't have to worry about it for another couple of years.

Yeah this is still just a temporary fix though if you think about it. Mine did the exact same thing a year ago to this month worked great after about 10 months started going slow then slower now it's doing the same thing again .
what it boils down to to me is the motors are shity and weak and thats alot of heavy glass to push up. Having to do this every couple of years or year in my case is a pain in the ***!!! there has to be a stronger motor or some other solution.

I talked to the parts lady down at the dealership, and she told me GM has redone the window motor 3 or 4 times in the past few years. The newest one they're using she said turns slower than most, but doesn't tend to burn out like the others were. Just a thought FWIW.

Power window motor. Been there done that. Sucks big time. $300 at the dealership. Autozone motor is cheaper and said to be better. There are install instructions on the web.
