Shopping around everywhere would be a good idea. A great way to save money at a young age would be a to find an older female family member to be the primary driver on your car. My mom is the primary on my car and I am the primary (liability only) on an 87 Honda Accord. She's 55 so her insurance costs are amazing cheaper than mine would be on my Z28. I also still get FULL coverage on all of our cars as long as I'm insured on at least one of them. There's always loopholes like this, you just need to find them. I'm 18 so I would be in the same boat as you if it weren't for the way my family has set up our insurance. Hope this helps.

Just for comparison, my mom is around 300 cheaper per month than me. Farmers is what we have, they're a bit more expensive, but their service is outstanding!!

you do have to think about service. dont just go with a cut rate company, becuse when you really need them they wont be there! ive had a few friends that have gone with cut rate places that had accidents, and their insurance companies didnt want to pay for crap. they were long battles. try what MJSLUDE99 is doing. im on a completely separate plan that branches off from my parents(im 21) plan with state farm, and i pay $151 a month, and thats with one ticket on my record, for driving on the wrong side of the road. guess what i was doing!

22
1-ticket
$794 every six months with Geico (they're the bomb)

But here is what I did. Already had the Camaro ($825 every 6 just for the Camaro)

Paid $300 for a beater.
Insurance decreased to $750 - 6mons

Multiple car discount is great. Try getting a beater. Make it the primary and let your F-Body be recreational.

Put mine in under my sister. I only pay 65$ a month for full coverage.
