Default OBDII plug in emissions question

I heard from someone, can't remember who/where at all , that OBDII cars who currently have to pass a plug in diagnostic only lose that privelage after they are so many years old. Is this true?? That kind of scares me In all the times emissions have been brought up on the board, I never once recall anybody ever mentioning anything like this

Unless they come up with some new law you should be fine.
I mean if they sniff you then they would have to sniff 02 cars also.

unless they start looking for modified binaries, heh, i doubt it. Some states are beginning or have implemented visual checks on OBD-2 cars. But in reality due to the mad checksum ability and illegality, one cannot modify the pcm to bypass emissions right
