Default Drop your ETAs by 1 sec...2 min mod!!!!!

It's not even the Dustbuster/vacuum mod we love so much! http://www.edgarcato.com/b9_1.jpg Yes indeed friends, real results from weight reduction. Thanks to a recent blowout I was able to take advantage of the TRUE potential of the LS1. I used my spare tire and when I got the tire replaced I let the tire shop keep the spare as well...amazing!!! I have since left my jack out of the vehicle as well, WOW!!! What a lift!! I will check at the track this week but predict a 1 sec drop in ETs...or so. Try it you will like it!! Legal disclaimer: Personal results may vary, author takes no responsibility if user has a blow-out and needs a spare on the road, and if reader believes such outlandish claims they may be a ricer...please PM author as he has a bridge/4.6L to sell them.

Sorry dude correct me if I'm wrong, but I really doubt that you would get one second out of removing the spare and jack. Together they weigh about 40lb. In my experance 100lb = 1tenth depending where the weight was removed.

I think he was joking but I really didn't find it too funny anyway.

Hell no, I have just seen some many other ridiculous products and claims posted here I thought I'd add to the fray. Just hop over to a rice site, they truly do believe things like this though. My idea is to make a fairly decent 1/4 mile car but with awesome handling capabilities. I have been reading just about everything here pertaining to these things so I can make the most balanced car possible. I know better, just wanted to give some people a laugh, since most are reading this during working hours. I know it's the only time I'm allowed to really get the questions and research done, my wife won't allow me this kind of time at home.

Based on rule of thumb the jack/stand should be able to get you 0.04 in the 1/4. Not bad. I myself have done almost 100 lbs of weight reduction......yea that gets me 0.1!

I think that was the kicker, as well as the sentence that would let you know for SURE that he was kidding.

Check the drag racing forum. They have a great, old sticky called the weight reduction list. It has a HUGE list of things (most of which you wno't want to do) and and aprox weight savings.

Edit: For those of you unfamilier with drag racing forum or possibly searches, here you go:
