355 gears
anyone ever put 355 gears in their auto? Wondering if anyone has..how much **** besides gearing they reccomend and what kind of results the 355s did...ive had LOTS of people tell me to go for them rather then 373, since i use my car so much. I just need to drop these GAYASS 273s

I was thinking that but I've had a lot of people tell me to do different gearing. Would 355s have a harsh effect on the rear end?
Like i said earlier..anyone know where i could get 355s for my ride..maybe one of the sponsors?

3.42s you can get factory pieces for the factory
rear. 3.55s do sound like an oddball; maybe your
buddy is thinking about some other rear end.
Your easiest and cheapest route would be to
find a low(ish) miles, M6 rear with the right
ABS (3 channel / 4 channel) and swap the whole
thing, then you're down to the cost of a brake
bleed session. You can pick up a complete rear
in good condition for less than the shop rates on
a ring & pinion swap's labor (let alone the materials).
The difference between 3.42 and 3.55 is not worth
the effort to find them or the probable price difference
if you did.

Stick with your 2.73's and get a 3800 stall. Then when you get the money to buy a 12 bolt get it with the 3.73's. You will eventually need to replace the rearend and they come with your choice of gear. Don't pay to have the gears replaced then have them switched again, waste of money IMO.
