Like 1FastSS said, it is pretty common for them to go out. It's not too hard to replace though. Oreilly's and Autozone sell them for about $50-$60.

Here is one site that may help:

what does he mean by control module? I have tried replacing the switch, and it still does the same thing...Window will go down occasionally, but rarely comes back up. I can hear it click under the dash, and sometimes it clicks inside the door (motor) since I can hear the motor click, I assume the motor has taken a **** on me?
I would hate to replace something that doesn't need replacing!
Anybody have any experience with THESE GUYS?!?! $49 shipped for OE replacement, or $52 shipped for a pair of shitty ones. Either way, they have lifetimes, and the guy has eben around for a while.

I'm not sure of the brand I used, but it has a lifetime warranty so if it fails again I'll just bring it back. I got mine from Oreilly's, but I think the autozone one comes with a lifetime warranty too.

My stock one failed after about a year and a half. The replacement one has been in for about 3 years, and it still works as good great.

Those are the cheap quality ones. He offers OE quality (better actually I'm sure! ) for $40+$8s&H, but for that I'll drop the extra $3 at AZ since it's local.
Given what a pain in the *** they are to get to, I'd rather not replace them too often!
