Ok..i got a 1998 Pontiac Transam A4, Black on Black...its all listed in my sig..its in Superb conditon...besides it has 84,000 miles isn't listed. Well...i still owe about 12,000 on it 11,500 somewhere aroudn ther to the bank..my local chevy dealer had a 2001 Camaro Z28 black coupe..6 speed hurst shifter..they had it listed at 17,999 then it was 16,999 now its 14,999 which i think is a hell of a deal...im thinken about going in there tomorrow and saying if they can pay my note off...ill buy it...for 14,999...if they can keep my montly payments below...$315...its a deal...it is a really nice car...let me tell u mint.. only 21,000 miles...

sowhat do u think id be missing my ttops though but i don't take them off..id be missing my premium wheels..which i can change..and i really hate the z28 hood..untill i convert it to the ss style then it looks BADASS!!!....seriously..for some reason ive always liked the camaro better i dunno y..it just seems more...i dunno...of a mark in the american..industry...a camaro...

so what do u guys think???

i'd go for it!! 3 years newer and prolly less miles than your trans am. what all mods do you have on yer current ride?? any that will transfer?

no mods bone stock..i really want this car. to..the only thing id half to change on it is the wheels i hate the alloy wheels its got..and i could live wit the non ss hood for a while..but not long...yeh..the question is...wat are my chances of being able to pay less than $315 a month on a 14,999 Loan..plus more for sales tax and ****..verry unlikely

yeh but im 17..and its alot harder..first you gotta convince ur parents into it..then its sold by then..then its..damn..im stuck wit her again then i find another..and it slike..gotta convince my parents and there like blah blah blah blah...ur car is good enuf..then there like whats the difference between a manual and an automatic..and im like...all i know is ..NOWS THE TIEM!!! to get the car i want cuz i don't want to pay somethign off i don't want then it flares from there then there all pissed at me for a week...so this time im gonna fucken go for it or atleast..see waht the dealer..will do...make me a deal about?

I wouldn't do it without waiting first. You shouldn't rush into decisions like this so fast. Plus, the dealer might drop the price a little more.

its already dropped 3 grand...i don't think there goign ne more LOL..especially since its an 01..wit 21,000 miles for 14,999 i think thats a steal..especially at a dealership...as long as they will get my loan payed off thats all i want..cuz actually they shoudl give me 10 for my car and if theyd give me 11.5-12...im goin for it..

I bought my 00 SS with 12K miles for 14,800 because I waited.... like 2 minutes! I had my checkbook in hand when I went down to buy it, so that might of had something to do with it.

As far as payments, it'll depend on the intrest rate obviously. For $15K at like 4.5% for 60 months, it'll be under $300/mo.

I say go talk to the dealer and see what they have to say. Chances are if they've lowered the price on the car w/o anyone having any interest in it, i'm sure they'll lower it even more when you walk up there like you're really going to buy it. Good luck.

Oh yeah... you can get silver SS ten spokes from SLP for like $400 bucks. That's a good deal and would help the look for a little bit until you can get some nicer wheels.

thanks for the info...the way i see it..is...its not liek im stuck wit the car i have right now..and id rather get as new of a car asi can cuz im gonna be paying it off..for the next 6 years..and this car..i know ill love the only reason ive lost interest in my last 2 cars was cuz there automatics i swear to god..i drive my dads honda accord and since its manual ITS FUN TO DRIVE!! funner than my ta..and i ain't kidding...manuals..just put the fun in the game i swear..

dude, go in w/ur dad if ur parents agrre 2 it and try to get the price even lower....trust me, if they dropped it 3 times and no1 is interested in it then i bet u could get it down even more....ALL car sales man want to make a deal, no matter what....used cars have a certain life at a dealer...they want to move them asap-good luck....also, it would make complete sense to me b/c its 3 yrs newer, and about a 60,000 mile difference between ur ta and this z28....good luck man

don't forget to add the amount your going to owe to the balance. I would not be suprised if they offered you 9000 for your car, that would make the new one closer to 18,000, plus tax.

I bought my z for 12,9 with 35000 miles, I had a balance of maybe 2500 left on my trade, my payment is 260.

If you have done ANYTHING to your car, take it off, or change it, or whatever, because as a trade mods are a no-no. They WILL lower the value of the car at 99% of dealerships.

If you go in there, first offer them something lower... tell them you'll give them 12-13k for it. Definitely don't go in there and tell them you'll take it for the advertised price, even if you are planning on spending that much money.

offer em lower. there were a few 01 Zs at the lot i bought my 02 at and they were low miles selling for about 13k. i think my interest rate is 5.5% and on about a 15,500 loan, i pay 310 a month.

come to think of it one was a SOM Z28, 29,xxx miles and it sold for 11500. woulda been mine if i found the lot a day sooner!

Dude, I am 17 as well and I personaly would get a TA over an SS if I had the choice. Say goodbye to your badass seats that adjust everything under the sun. Say goodbye to the rareness! You see camaros everywhere, nothing to make your V8 stand apart other than the SS. The TA is badass, and the styling is dead on for intimidation. The camaro is a lot more plain......honestly, I don't see why you would want one over a TA.

Don't get me wrong, I love my car to death, and would never trade it for a TA, but I plan to have both....something about an SS in LPM...

You realy want a camaro, wait and get an SS when the time comes, and have what you want.

So what happened when you went to the dealership? At the dealership I work at it is a major no-no to talk business with a minor who has no parent or guardian present. The reason being, minors cannot make a decison that is legally binding. If a minor were to sign a contract and decide to break it the dealership would have no recourse...and they would be in some major hot water. Anyway, I hope that you can find a way to get the Camaro because the price is good.

Stick with the TA,once you have that payed off you can start doing performance modds.You get that newer Z and you will be spending more for a car that has the same performance.TA's look better anyway lol....just kidding Z28 guy's.
