Open your passenger side door. You should have a sticker that says "This car has been modified by SLP"

You can also call a Chevy Dealer, give them the VIN, and they can tell you.

You car will only have a "modified by SLP" sticker if it had extra options fom SLP, will also have Y2Y RPO code too.

Open your door, look at the RPO codes, you should see Z28 (V8 Camaro) and WU8 (this is the code for the SS package).

Anyone can throw a SS hood on.

If it's a true SS, it will have the WU8 rpo code as mentioned. It will also have another sticker that says what alterations had been made by SLP (though all the ink will probably be faded).

Who cares if you have an SS or an SS clone on an LS1. They are the same perfermance wise.

Hope you weren't scammed or anything though

That's what I'd be worried about. Think about it... you can have next to nothing into a hood, wing, and wheels to make a Z28 look like a SS. You could probably make an extra 3-5K just by making that switch. If someone didn't know what to look for, they'd be fooled.

Heh, if I read his name correctly, atleast he has an 01. The Suspension is the same

I guess he could try to sell it and scam the next poor fool if it is indeed a Z28.

Which reminds me, diamond01ss, whats the deal? Is it an SS or a Z28? Don't leave us hanging hehe.

Would suck if it is a little lowly Z28. We all know an SS will absolutely own an Z28.
