Default lowered car jacking q's

i have a 98 z with the hotchkiss lowering springs and slp subframes and i cant get a jack under my car... the only solution i have found for this is to drive the car up on a block of wood or something just to be able to get a jack underneath. anybody have an idea to make jacking my car up less of a hassle? does anybody else have this problem? i only have 3 1/2" of clearance under the subframes.

you could try sliding a jack under the rear of the car and put it on the axle...?

You could try a low profile jack aluminium jack but those aren't cheap. I use the factory jack to lift the car enough to get a regular jack under it. Sometimes I don't even use the regular jack just the factory one, it works pretty good.

my Z is absolutly the lowest that u can make a camaro, AND i have ground effects!!! What i usually do is try and make little steps with wood, small one, little higher one, and then a higer one, to get it up, (carefully, bc 3500lbs is a lot for wood) OR i use a low jack and jack it up in the rear underneath the pumpkin (rear diff) and then set the rear on jack stands and then jack up the front best i can..................

I have to drive mine up on somthing to. I am going to Lowes and get some boards and build some steps/ramps for mine then when I go to get a alignment or something done to the exhaust I can just put them in the car and take them with me so the boards can assist with getting it on the lift. Most places have problems getting it on the drive on lift.

I picked up and "All-Trade" aluminum racing floor jack the low clearance 3" to 14" for $50.00 at Wal-mart. Before the holiday these sold for $99.99

i just get one or two people to lift up on the fender a bit while i slide the jack under... piece of cake, and no need to worry buying/making step blocks.
