Went to a shop today and asked about a window motor replacement. They told me that they had just finished one and it took them 3 hours to complete. Ive heard people say that they have done it in as little as on hour. How much of thier time should i be expecting to pay for. thanks guys

i just did mine. I bought a cheap ebay OES window motor for 35.00 and replaced it in 45 min while hangin out with friends. Someone that does it for a living should be able to do it under an hour no problem. We drilled out the pop rivits and used nuts in bolts instead. 3hrs is a rip, do it your self

3 hours? What the hell were they doing.. It could be done within 1 hour. You should attempt it yourself and save money. It's not that hard. There's plenty of write-ups too. Here's too I found in the thread a few down,

My dad is a machanic and he is the one who told me it took a guy 3 hours at his shop to change out the motor. Today I went to his shop to change outthe motor and showed the threads you guys recommended and my dad was not convinced. But I got him to try it any way. It tookus about 40 minutes. My dad was almost imbarrassed to admit the internet is helpful. He also said to tell you guys Thanks. I also want to thank you guys. This site has helped in sooo many ways. Even for the little jobs like this. Thanks again.

the first time it took me a while, because i didnt use the internet for help. i took out everything, motor..regulator...everything. but in reality you only need to drill a few holes, pop out the old one, and pop in the new one. took me 30 mins last time

took less than an hour to do mine and i didnt know what the hell i was doing. support the window in the full up position, drill out the rivets, pull out old window motor, install new window motor using 1/2 inch bolts. very easy, quick(not 3 hours) and cheap.

yes. once we dove in and attempted it, it was very easy. The only hard part was getting rained on......
