Default Drivetrain loss? Can we settle this?

I have heard everything from 15-18% for a M6 car. And I have heard it's closer to "50hp". Can somebody who REALLY knows chime in here please? My last dyno I put down 308hp and it was 98 degrees and very humid in that shop last July. So where am I? My car is stock with just LM and Y pipe and a lid. There has to be some formula that we can use consistently. After I do my cam/headers/intake install I will do another dyno but I want to have a fairly accurate idea of what I have at the crank. Thanks in advance.

there is no set static formula. it's just like a 10 bolt to 12 bolt swap; some loose 7, some loose 10, some loose 15. just depends.

Why in the hell would you want to know how much power you make at the crank? You have the good number already...rwhp.

FWIW...I just use 15% for a ballpark since it makes no difference. You're around 350-360fwhp.

I hate to break it to you, but you're short about 300rwhp for this to be true.

Well excuse the **** out of me for asking a honest question. Yes I understand that it does not matter what I am making at the crank, I was just wondering. If you don't know why the hell are you answering my post?
BTW, don't have any ricer friends.

Guy asks a question and you guys jump all over him for no reason. Crank numbers can be impressive to anyone that doesn't know anything about cars not just ricers so let the man know if you know anything about the real calculations.

You not breaking anything to me jackass. I put that on there for my enjoyment. And by the way, it took Ford till 2003 to build something to challange that.

Thanks jrp, your opinion is well respected. I simply wanted to know if there was a concrete formula so that I would be informed when I am discussing this subject. Thanks again.

Jackass?

I answered your DUMBASS question for you.

BTW...my buddy was running low 9's 10 years ago when he was in high school in his little old Mustang. You sure it took 'til 2003 to "catch up"?

You know you might be God's gift to world for this kind of question, but would it kill you to just answer the question? Yea, might be a dumbass question to YOU, ever stop to think there might be someone who does not know? And as for "using the ******* search button" I have. There seems to be all sorts of opinions about this. I was wanting someone to step up that really knew the answer to inform me. Guess that's not you--------JACKASS!
