Default Possible future LS1 owner.

Hey guys, current LT-1 owner thinking of upgrading. I'm looking at a 98 TA M6 red with 92,804 for 9,995. I want the extra 40-50 hp and the M6. The car is stock which is exactly what I want but what do you guys think on the price? It's at a lot so I figure that it is kind of pricey but it is the rare LS1 TA I've seen under 10k. I figure I could get a better price off of a private owner but noe are for sale. Any opinions appreciated.

keep looking man, you can find a better price with less mileage. I hope you find what you're looking for. 10K$ for a 98 T/A should net you a car with about 70-75K on it.

Be patient...I picked up my 98 formula 80k A4 all stock for $6200.I had to drive 300 miles to get it,for the price I would have gone 500 miles. It took a long time to find it,I stuck to my budget and finally found the right one.At this time of year you can find one cheaper.Look everywhere.

I bought my 98 with 50k on it for 9,900 a year and a half ago. You can definently find a better price, with lower miles than that.

Congrats on choosing the Trans Am and the LS1 is a nice engine to work with.

The prices today make me wish I could have bought my WS6 at this time but, then I wouldn't of had the last 3 years with this one.

BTW at ww.nada.com they are giving the 98' Trans Am a value of over $14,000 and trade in of over $12,000. IMO the 1998 Trans Am for under $10,000 with low miles is a steal.

It seems like the m6 ta's cost a good bit more than auto ta's or z28s, but I think they could do better than that price. Don't pay over $9k imo.

g'luck

Definately can find a better price. It sounds cheap, but the market is so crappy now it's pathetic. $10K should be able to get you a '98 w/ 60-75k miles on it. Good luck!!

Looking for (and I think found) an '01 or '02 SS 6 speed hard-top with less than 20,000 miles. I was originally holding out for NBM or SOM, but that AND the hard-top are about impossible to find. I'm going up next weekend to buy an '01 with 8,900 miles on it. $18,500! Hopefully it all works out this time.
