Supercharged LS1 Corvette

Supercharged LS1 Corvette
I currently have a 1998 C5. I'm looking to add up to 150 more horsepower without going with a supercharger. Whats the best way to add as much HP to my C5? Also, would any of you suggest adding nitrous for an extra boost?

Spend $1,000 and have a NX wet kit professionally installed. Jet it for a 150shot and you're all set.

NOS is a brand. They make a kit. NX (nitrous express) and TNT also make nice kits.

In His original post he uses "boost" as in "kick" or "punch" so I wouldn't get too TECHNICAL on him. Leave that to me.
I vote supercharger if you have the money. It lasts longer than the bottle.

Yeah,do research-LOTS of research,if you use nitrous without knowing about it you could have a serious $$$ bad experiment with it and lots of avoidable engine damage. You also forgot to mention if your car is stock or what your current mods are.

NX wet kit: $1000
Heads/cam package: $3000+
There are superchargers around $4000, but I'm not exactly sure on C5 prices.
My advice would be to get some stage 2 patriot heads for 97/98 LS1's ($999) and a nice cam (TR224) and then add a 100 shot dry shot from any brand you choose..
With bolt ons, this setup would add around 200 RWHP, idle and drive almost stock, and get stock gas mileage. It also wouldn't cost very much. If you know where to look, you could get it all together for around $3000.

you dont want an even split cam if your gonna spray that much....go traditional split with more exhaust duration than intake duration and you'll make better power
on topic I would get the supercharger....with nitrous at ~3.50 a pound it adds up....a supercharger is a one time deal and you never have to hassle with taking the bottle out and filling it
if you got a charger, heads and blower cam you'll easily see a 100% increase in power
