Default Good price?

is $2800 good for a 2001 LS1, with computer, harness and accessories, and good compression? no transmission either. im just asking so i have no idea since i am new to these.

It depends what side of the U.S. you are on. Out here in CA, I would say that's a fairly good price for one with all accessories and low mileage.

a totaled ls1 fbody will run around 5000 for something thats not fixable with low miles from a dealer that can go to the auctions. when you get around 50k miles they get cheaper, i bought mine with 55k for 3000, but its fixable. if you call one of the fbody yards that advertise in Hot Rod and Chevy HP they want closer to 6500 for JUST the engine, tranny, and computer/harness. you cant even sell the car to recoup some money. i think there is a link on the right of this page (tennesee auto parts) that has some REALLY good prices on complete engines
