Turning off car...
When I turn off my car, it seems to keep running for a second before it 'roughly' turns off. I have heard that low octance could cause a 'kick back', but I know it isnt an octane issue. Any other ideas?

Not real familiar with this, but I think it's called dieseling cause even after the spark plugs stop firing, the heat and compression of the cylinders is enough to keep the mix combusting, similar to a diesel engine. No idea how to fix it...only heard of it, never seen it.

It is called dieseling, good call thunder550. It isn't as bad as some of the problems others have had with it on different cars. I talked to my dad this AM and he said either timing or octane could cause it.
He said a normal 'tune up' would fix this. Any ideas?

Once I remembered what to call it (dieseling), I could do a search that actually helped
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ight=dieseling
Top end cleaner, tuned, and I'll check timing.

With IGN off there is no timing. I would say to get it
SeaFoamed (top end cleaner) and see if this loses you
most of the carbon buildup, which makes for a bunch
of tiny glow plugs.
Now, you should also have fuel cut when key off so
there's another question. May be that you also have
one (or more) injector that keeps drooling until the
rail bleeds down. Can't run w/o fuel though you can,
without spark.
The last possibility is a cooling problem, a hot head
will increase the ability to diesel. The stock fan
settings don't help you any, there.
