Lightbulb New 2002 SS owner here..got some ?'s

hey, first timer here..i just purchased an 02 SS Cam..plans for the future included Bilstein Shocks/Springs 1.5" drop...Volant AIr INtake...etc

I am stuck on exhaust systems though...any ideas?? Id like to run something with headers and an x pipe w true duals...but am worried about the sensors n all that...any recommended systems?? I want something that roars at WOT but doent sound like my 67 Plymouth GTX at the track with straight pipes while idling...
any help would be great!
Thanks
Erik

sick ok...do you have some links for me to look at some true dual set ups??
Like i said im new, not new to sports cars, just the ls1..i hada 97 3800 for about 3 years and stepped it up
Thanks!!
All help is welcome! When you say tune, like a powerprogramer, or take it to a shop...and how do i go about deleting the o2 sensors, just remove them??
Thanks man

By tune he means taking it to a shop, NOT a power programmer. Or you can buy LS1 edit if you happen to know someone who is good with it or want to jump in head first and learn for yourself. Not everybody gets a dynotune after headers. I waited until I got a cam to get the tune, but I kinda wish that I had it tuned after the headers since it was a year and a half until I got the cam and most places offer a retune for about $100 vs the $450 for the initial tune. Since you live in south florida I dont know if it would be worth the extra money to get stainless steel or not. Most parts of the country I would recommend stainless. Dumped duals with a nice cam are just plain sick. Even without a cam it sounds very, very nice. Much better than a Y-pipe.

Edit: I just realized what he meant by small tune. You might as well get a "basic tune" to delete the air/egr/rear O2 codes. Your other choice is to get a pair of O2 sims to use in place of the rear O2. This is all assuming that you do not run cats.

check out texas speed, theyre a sponsor over there>>>>>>>, they have a nice true dual setup. i myself, have lanes, but hes not a sponsor so i cant post the link. google it.

those are my TD's dumped at the axle.
check out ls1sounds.com for sound clips of diff combo's, and then pick your poison

and by a tune, i meant at a shop, or someone with ls1edit. youre going to lose a lot of backpressure if you switch from stock exhaust to a TD setup, so your car might not know how to react. and with TD's, you dont have cats or rear o2's, so you will need to delete some codes so you dont set a SES light.

i would not suggest lowering after LT install. after LTs and exhuast, ull barelly clear speed bumps and often scrape on steep stuff. another 1.5" is just way too much
