A lid is a lid, they all have roughly the same gains. I have the Texas Speed and Performance lid on my car, It fits good and I like it. If you have not already read jrp's sticky you should, its has very good info in it, it should answer all of your questions. Heres the link for it https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139142

Texas Speed and Performance....their banner is over there ===>>

Their lid is the best fitting one i have found, noticable power gains too. Also look into the Fast Toys Ram Air, TSP should sell it. If not Thunder Racing sell's 'em.

like he said. A lid is a lid is a lid, they all perform about the same. It just depends on what look you like.

What about a lid vs the K&N FIPK? Isn't that an open element that sits on the radiator shroud? I don't have Ram Air, but if I did, would I have to worry about rain or water entering the open K&N?

Could you please post a bigger sig. I can't quite see yours.

Signature pic size is 500x150 max. Please reduce yours. Thanks.

You should have searched, or at least read the stickies. Read this:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139142
You may as well read all of it, but intake parts are covered in post #4.

89 karr you should listen to unit and get that sig changed.

My bad gents. I saw the limit on avatars, but not when I made the sig. I am sure the limits of sig pic were in the instructions of the board. But what guy reads instructions anyway? Thanks for the tip.

I got the MTI clear lid. I like it, it fits good and looks awesome!! A while back there was an article in GM HighTech Performance, and they all were pretty close in numbers.

I've got the simple SLP lid with smooth SLP bellow. Picked up both for $80 shipped (used). Some people will say these rub and they don't close, but never had a problem with mine. Bang for the buck, the lid is the way to go because you get similar gains with the lid as you do with the FIPK system.

Here's a pic...
