Default ticking after seafoam

I used some seafoam the other day and everything went well and all. Not too much smoke. Anyway, after the seafoam I have a ticking noise coming from the top of the engine on the drivers side. It is more noticable when the engine decelerates. My friend says its the injectors and he used a screw driver to listen and said that is where the noise was coming from. Is this normal or do I have a problem???

If u put the seafoam in the oil u might it may have just free'd up a lifter that might have been gummed up a lil. i work in an auto parts store that sells seafoam and ive seen that happen before. try adding some oil additive( i recommend lucas) and see if that might help.

I put in in through the pcv hose. I will give the additive a try though!

did you change the oil afterwards? People always say to change your oil after you seafoam.

Yes I changed the oil after I drove it around and all the smoke stopped.

I would think that the seafoam would clean the plugs. I could be wrong.
