Default Good Start For 12 sec or What

BEfore I spend money on useless recepie. What do you guys think. I have a 2000 Ws6 Stock. Here goes my list before ordering.
1. MtI Lid
2. Smooth Below
3. K&N Filter
4. Borla Cat back exhaust
5. Ls6 Intake
6. Mandrel bent Stock replacement Y pipe because I dont want headers on this car cause it is used to travel a lot and don't want header issues. Will corvette Z06 manifolds fit.
7. 100 hp wet kit
8. Running with the devil Tuning
What kind of gains to expect or will this be worth the money I going to spend

Just drag radials and a good launch will get you in the 12's.

Everything will be worth the money...except the bellows and the new Y. The bellows is a appearance mod mostly - no gains. The stock Y pipe flows decent despite the pancake look. So I would leave the stock Y alone till you get LT's.

Expect low 12's.

Transmission?
You're buying all these power adders, and not a word about tires or suspension. You don't need juice, or a tune, to hit 12's.

Check out the 12 sec Club forum. You'll get tons of info there to get you in the 12's.

I have sticky tires and I have a ram clutch on the shelf. This car has never been on the track and I put the juice on everything I own it's just m y signature. So when it goes to the track it will hook or break something one.

You shouldn't need all that.

Do lid, catback, tuning, tires, and maybe a bit of suspension work and you'll be there with decently good driving.

You say you don't want header issues, but you're willing to run nitrous? To do a decent and SAFE nitrous system, it will cost you quite a bit. You're not just looking at a couple hundred bucks there. Do some research and you'll find this. I'd say to put that money towards some stainless longtube headers and a decent y-pipe and call it a day. You won't have to worry about a thing with stainless headers. With them and the lid, catback, tires, and tuning I mentioned, you're set for 12s without a problem.

Not worried about the cost of nitrous I just want the car very reliable when it comes time to hit the road. I have to travel to meet with clients and the gas won't be used. I know I have to raise the limiter, rpm activated window switch, bottle heater, purge kit and panel. This stuff I mostly already have laying around my shop. but the advise you give is correct. The nitous will be dyno tuned for correct air fuel mixture. I will pay for the show in other words

What header issues? Other than the coating flaking, new coatings are making that less and less of an issue, what else is there? other than a better MPG etc? If you did headers, tires, lid you'd be there, but then save up for a clutch and rear, also you'll definatly need SFC's

Go with headers, there are no issues once it's all buttoned up and tight. Get the right ones and they tuck up sweet.

I went the random tech highflow cats and ypipe route for the same reason you state and am now kicking myself for not just getting headers and being done with it from the get go.
