Hey guys,

I would like to know what you think about a car I am intersted in purchasing. It is a 2001 SOM SS with 22,000 miles on it. Mods are, MAC Headers, skip shift, h pipe, borla, 4.10's, and a few other small things. It needs tires and is generally in good/excellent shape. Interior is very nice, exterior is very nice, basically nothing wrong with it except the tires and some light cleaning. I would like to know if $18,000 is a fair price? Let me know what you think.

Hey, I myself have a SOM car but its an 02. I'll give you some help and reference to go by. I bought mine from a dealer and it is a 2002 SS with the SLP Options in my sig below. It's an automatic, tops, black leather, every options except 12 disc, chrome 10 spokes, bought with 34,9xx miles. It was taken very good care of, and looks awesome. The dealer was askin 18,900 for it. Hope this helps ya out so you can have a reference point or whatever.

I would say thats a good deal and SOM cars keep going up in price for some reason too

See if he takes 17,000 for it, tell him that you'd be OK with 18 if it had decent tires.

mine has all options, chrome 10 spokes, dual dual, and grille. no paint defects, and had 7k on the clock. 20,500 and would have paid a little more.

Thanks for the replies guys, I will see if we can work alittle more on the price, he was asking 20...so I think im doing alright. I just want a fair deal. Keep the opinions coming. This is a really really nice car.
