is $20K a ridiculous price for a 2000 SS?

Help Please!
I posted this on another forum when someone asked if "mommy and daddy bought my car". I told them that I paid for it all myself and it was 15K and they flipped out saying how did I find one, and so on. They said when they looked they couldn't find anything less that 20K.
"You can easily get a higher mileage (50-80K miles) car for less than 15K. If you wanted to get an SS they are even cheaper yet because there are more of them. If you didn't care about the suspension/appearance package of the SS/WS6 you could get a Z28 or regular Trans Am for 10K or less without too much hassle. I've only seen a few Firehawks that were 2001-2002s with very low mileage that went for over 20K, and that is only because there were a lot fewer of them made."
This is the reponse I got...
"I'm not gonna say you're lying but who ever sold it to you didn't know what they had
here's a 2000 SS Camaro with 66k miles for 20 grand(was a link to autotrader)
so you can imagine 15k is a steal and is a call for shens ."
I'm not too far off on my claims am I? From what I've seen posted on here and other sites. 20K for an SS with 66K miles seems like an insane amount of money.

Tony (Nineball) just sold his MINT 99 Hugger Orange SS for something like $18k, and it's pretty damn rare as far as SS's go.

Just saw the thread for Nineball's SS. He sold for 17k flat. And anyone who pays 20k for a 2000 SS with 66k miles on it is nuts.
I got my 2002 Z28 with 2,800 miles on it for 20k three months ago.

That's what I figured. I checked on autotrader, and there are a TON of cars listed at 20K. Will they ever sell for that? Maybe a few to some idiots. I followed up with a link supporting both of my claims. An SS for under 15K and a regular Z for under 10K. Still haven't gotten a response back. Probably crying due to the ownage I dealt them.

i bought mine for 15,500 from dealer and it's fully loaded and leather seats, and true ws6 It prolly depends on the area where there trying to buy it, and the prices people are selling them for.

The person who told you that is full of it as you have already figured out... I paid $10,000 for my 99 pewter Z28 A4 with 51K on it last summer... only to have a sebring silver 2000 SS M6 with 70K go on sale near me for $13,000 about a week later
