Default Undecided on next mod

This question is just for general opinions on the next mod i need. Right now i have a 99 T/A A4 with lid, filter, FRA, SLP loudmouth and 3:23 gears. I am considering 3:73 gears, or stall converter or headers and ORY. Also I am in missouri and was wondering if anybody knew of any tuning shops around, so far closest i have found is Speed inc in Ill which is over 500 miles still. Any help is greatly appreciated and seriously taken.

3.73 and a stall will probly cost about as much as the haeders and ory and you will definatley see more "quickness" for your buck. you will definatley need a full exhaust setup if and when you dig deep into the engine, so you need everything you listed and then some, so its your choice start with one and then keep going.

Make sure you have a goal in mind for your car. That will help determine the ole' modification path.

Unless you like your car very loud, when you do the headers and ORY, budget in another muffler to replace the resonator in the Loudmouth, that being said, I'd do stall, headers and Y, then the 3.73s.
Depending on where in MO you are, Tulsa has a tuner by the name of Ed Wright, and probably a few others (his was the first name that popped into my head) look on tulsa f bodys for some other shop names that work on/tune ls1s

I would go with headers, stall, cam, N2O, I personally wouldn't do the 3.73's. I am sticking with my 3.23's and am loving the MPG! I wouldn't put a dime into the stock rear end except for maybe a TA cover. Save the money and get a 9 inch when your stock rear end breaks! JMHO!

Not sure if you are on fastlouis.com yet (F-Body Association of St. Louis) but you will definitely be able to find someone to tune your car and a lot cheaper than local shops will charge. There are people from all over MO and IL with Camaros and TA's. I just made a post about needing my car tuned in their forums and had 6 pms from people giving me offers to do it about an hour later. Also I would definitely wait until you are done with your mods or at least close before you tune. Pretty much all of the things you listed would yield the best results after a good tune (ex. headers will most like offset your A/F). As far as your next mod, I would finish the exhaust, stall, and then some of that magical juice!

you wont gain more performance with headers +ory than a stall and gears but in my opinion headers and a ory is the starting point that must be considered first. 2 weeks ago we installed a lt`s and tsp rumbler cat back with ory and tuned up my friend 2000A4 Z28 and went to the track , the car ran 13.4 with a lid only driven by its owner . after installation the car ran 13.1 .

he was pissed and asked me to drive and ran a best of 12.637. .

Thanks everyone for the info. All considered and the 3000 stall is on its way along with the transgo shift kit.
