Default How does this one look?

Well found another LS1 I might consider.

Do you guys see anything wrong with it? Also what the hell are those exhaust tips? I have never seen any like that....

Link didn't show anything but red x's for the pictures.

What you really need to do is a top to bottom inside and out visual inspection in person (or get someone local to the car and trustworthy to do it and report back before you make road trip). A Carfax history report is also a must, and you may consider leak down/compression tests on something you are 90% certain you want to purchase.

It's black you'll have fun keeping it clean lol
The exhaust seems to be the center mounted exhaust (SLP option IIRC)
Seems to have a few mods on it, so I'd be a little wary of it, look under the bra, make sure the paint hasn't faded or gotten scratched up from it being on there, and the price is too high for a plain Z28 (might be ok for an SS) $15-16k would be better

Hmmm link works for me.... The thing that concerns me is that the car has been modded (lid, catback and wheels) and was sold/traded into the dealership at 25000 miles....

Yeah that price would have to come down.... Also, shouldnt it have badges on the side? It kinda looks like he took them off....

Okay, don't know what the deal was the first two times I tried but I can see the pictures in the link now.

It does have the side badges, they just don't show up worth a darn on a black car. I would be weary of hte fact that it's been modded, sold, and has so few miles. Might have been well taken care of, but......

I would also be weary of the fact that it has a bra. When people sell a car with something like that still on it's usually there to cover minor damage or some poor looking paint.

Yeah, it's pretty well known on the board. Not especially common, I have only seen one in person.

Make sure the bra on the car isn't covering up something, or caused the paint to wear.

yeah, ive seen that exhaust. thats an aftermarket exhaust that can be bought from SLP similar to the center mounted exhaust that can be opted for on SS's...they were going for a vette look with that exhaust in the pic...and yeah, check under the bra for damage...price seems high to me. id get em down at least another 3k.

Well I sent the guy a couple E-mails and this is what he said:

We got the Camaro as a trade-in on a Corvette we had in stock. If you look at all the extras this car has, you know the previous owner took extremely good care of this car. He always wanted a Corvette and finally had the money to do it. There is no damage under the bra. If you are really interested come on up. You will be surprised at how fast this car performs. Chet P.S. We do not negoiate our prices, unless you are here in person.

UGGG, I wish I knew how low they would go. I'd hate to waste 12 hours of my time and gas. Man I hate living in the middle of nowhere. You think the guy would go down to atleast $17k?

Def not worth it...id keep looking as you can find tons of deals on ls1's nowadays. Also as someone else said that around 16K would be a fair/decent price for an ss but not a z28 with mods. keep looking and check out the for sale section here, might find someone enar you ro someone willing to drive and meet you with a nice z28 or ss. Good luck with the search though and dont rush and settle on something your not crazy about.

IMO not worth a 12 hour drive, like someone said before, be patient, and you'll find the right one, no need to rush in and buy one you don't absolutely love, there's plenty of LS1s out there

ehh, i would pass.

IMO, cars with mods often have an illusive pastlife. keep that in mind.

I feel quite confident in opining that you pass on this deal. Do you have any idea how many LS1’s are for sale within a 12-hour drive of you? I know whence I speak. Be patient. I wish I had been.

Definitely pass that up. I just bought myself an SS with almost 13,000 miles less than that one and about $5,000 less too. So I got a better model, with less than half of the miles that one does and about 75% of that price. And this car is completely immaculate. I can win car shows with how clean this car is. Keep searching man
