Ok guys...here it goes. 2002 Black Trans Am WS6 M6 with 14k miles. Seems to be completely stock other than a darker tint on the windows. The dealer is asking 26k. That sounds a BIT high to me. Am I wrong??? Just curious what you guys think sounds right. I find it odd they're asking the same price for a 2003 Cobra with 18k on it. Lemme know what you guys/gals think.

That sounds too high to me. If you check out the vehicle classifieds on this site, you may be able to find a similar ride for 17-19K. It may not be local, but it would be worth the savings to buy one elsewhere.

I am sure he SHOULD pay less..but not too many 02 ws6's with low miles on them....that is what I mean..if you are tight on money, NO, it probably ISN'T a good deal......

yeah I thought it was way too high...which is somewhat weird, because i know the owner and he's usually on the cheaper side of things. Maybe it was just one of his stupid salesman trying to be cute. I'm going to offer him 11 and my Jeep....which would be around 19-21 depending on how you value the trade.

I see 20-23 being reasonable if its in great condition..should be with low miles. If u pass on this one you might NEVER find another one similar. ...[btw..all roads lead to Cornhusker---know what I mean.??] [was there in 02? on P.Tour]

People thinking that car can be bought for less than 20 grand "from a dealer" on the East coast are smoking crack. There are deals to find but for the most part WS6's and SS's go for a lot more than base model ls1's.
26 grand seems a bit high though. KBB here is 23 grand probably higher up there but not that much. Try to talk them down to 22 grand. Go to www.kbb.com and print out the blue book value and take it. Then look over the car and try to show them that it's not in excellent shape, etc.
May not work because summer is coming and they'll likely sell the car pretty quickly. If you get them down to 23 I wouldn't say it would be a bad deal at all. Especially if it IS in excellent condition.

As weird as it may seem, there are a few low mileage LS1s here in the Lincoln metro. Some have been sitting for awhile so I'd definetely say it's a buyer's market. The KBB pulls up 21k and change for the car in our area.
I called and talked to one of the guys and they're asking 26.9 I guess, and they said the NADA value is closer to 28k. They're asking 2 grand more for the WS6 than the 02 cobra with the same miles. My internet explorer isn't pulling up the NADA site here at work...that can't be right, is it?

And also...I don't see why WS6s and SSs are that much more than any other LS1, assuming they both have cruise, pw, pl, etc. The only difference in 01-02 is the hood...otherwise all the other parts most of us change (ie. shocks, etc)....right? Maybe there are people that think having a WS6 or an SS is that much more prestigious and are willing to pay the extra for it. WS6s do look pretty bad ***, but I don't know if it's worth it.

My mom's co-worker has an 02 WS6 auto, stock, 14,000 miles in mint cond that she was going to trade in. They offered her $22,000 - $23,000 so you know they were going to mark it up at least $2,000 so I can see them asking that much, now would I pay that much? NO.

I would say $22k max...would I pay that...NO, because I would rather have a car 2 or 3 years older for $5-7k less with the same mileage...but for someone who really wants that car $22k is a fair price seeing how these cars are VERY often going for more then blue book value these days...
The less you can get it for the better, but that price is just my $.02
