It has to be done on actual street tires? Or just street LEGAL tires? If drag radials are okay, I'd say go with those... If you're racing an 1/8th mile you need to focus on getting a low 60'. And he trapped at 94MPH in the 8th mile?

Well if you are asking what mods to do, intake, headers and catback are a good start, and some good tires like suggested above.

Two words Torque Converter, it will really make your car launch and take off. also get some 3.73s that will help, you should already have enough HP to compete unless he has nitrous.

Those are pretty good times sounds like the previous guys are guiding yo the right way. Headers, Intake, Pulley, TB, good tires some times this will make you bog out if you dont slip the clutch right or tear up the rear end but that is the risk we all take.

Good luck keep us updated.

Yes...the 3.73's will have a large effect on your revs...although at highway speed you can still pull decent mileage. You will lose 2-3 mpg on the highway and roughly double in city driving...with an average to light foot.

My suggestion would be to get a decent stall 3000+ and keep your stock gears. Gears add very little when coupled with a stall, and far less than a stall when compared one to one.

You have 3.23 gears, a nice gearset that will give you more than decent off the line acceleration, especially when coupled with a 3000+ stall TC, and great mid range, along with more than enough top speed 155+

Bolt ons, a stall, and a tire...

Additional info: being that you are in California, be aware that you cannot legally run long tube headers(the only one worth using if you have a 2000+ model year car)...You also need to keep your AIR and EGR to remain smog legal.

what about a sts turbo kit im not a motor expert but wanted to know how much it would be the get the whole motor rebuilt to handle like 10 pound of boost.

i also want to get the trans rebuilt so it will handle all the new power the motor will make and a stall converter

i know all this stuff goes over the 5k i said but want a reliable car that i can drive every day getting 25 mpg on the highway and atleast 15 in the city and that i can take to the track and run consisten high 11 low 12sec runs all day without breaking and to be able to whip on my brothers gn im sick of him always beating thanks again for all the help
